Our list closes at 1:45p today. If you miss it or aren't in VFX, you can still see Wreck-It Ralph in theaters everywhere opening today!
The Visual Effects Society (VES) is inviting a small group of Digital LA peeps who work in VFX to attend its free private VES-member screening this Saturday, 2p at the Walt Disney Animation Studios Theater (with the Mickey hat) in Burbank.
After the screening, there will be a panel with some of the visual effects team that worked on the movie. Panelists will include the film's Visual Effects Supervisor Scott Kersavage, and Effects Supervisor Cesar Velasquez and will be moderated by a VES Board-member to be announced.
This screening is limited only for those who work in the VFX industry (movies, games, commercials, etc.). To apply, RSVP above with your name, company, and/or list some of the major past three VFX projects you've worked on in the past year. If accepted, we will email you confirmation information and forward your names to Disney lot security so you can drive on to the lot on Saturday. No pluses allowed, just you!
Wreck-It Ralph follows the story of Wreck-It Ralph (John C. Reilly), a video game bad guy who wants to be a hero. He sets out to fulfill his dream, but his quest brings havoc to the whole arcade where he lives. He travels via Game Central Station from his Fix-It Felix Jr (Jack McBrayar) arcade game to first-person shoooter Hero's Duty where he meets Calhoun (Jane Lynch). He then travels to the Sugar Rush candy racing game where he meets unlikely ally Vanellope (Sarah Silverman) to help him get a medal.

The Visual Effects Society is the entertainment industry's only organization representing the full breadth of visual effects practitioners including artists, technologists, model makers, educators, studio leaders, supervisors, PR/marketing specialists and producers in all areas of entertainment from film, television and commercials to music videos and games.
